Sue Kolling to be inducted to Kingsland Wall of Honor

Sue Kolling will be inducted to the Kingsland Wall of Honor Friday, Nov. 9, at 7 p.m. in the Kingsland cafeteria.

Kolling, who recently retired from Home Federal Savings Bank, is the 11th person to be honored by the school district on its Wall of Honor. Past recipients are John Osterud, Irene Warren, Terry Therneau, Henry Plummer, Donovan Frank, Mitch Lentz, Tom Healy, Karice Bezdicek Stern, Edwin Krueger and Wendell McKenzie.

Kolling, who grew up in Cherry Grove and graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1969, started out as a teller at Home Federal and worked her way up to management in the corporate office. She was also a founding member of the Spring Valley Area Community Foundation, serving as the first president.

A detailed feature on Kolling, who is still a Spring Valley resident, will be published in next week’s edition of the Tribune.
